    This kit updates MultiNet V5.6 Rev A with a new version of the MultiNet
    kernel image (MULTINET.EXE on VAX and Alpha AXP, MULTINET_KERNEL.EXE on
    ia64) for MultiNet for OpenVMS systems. 

    The ranking for this ECO is 1.

    Included in this kit are fixes for the following :

    - Restore a symbol missing from the ia64 image that is needed for starting
      of MultiNet when used in a IP cluster. After installing the kit you need
      to execute MULTINET:SET_MULTINET_IP_CLUSTER.COM

    - Return the handling to attempt to bind to INADDR_ANY multiple times to
      the traditional behavior.

    - Fix a filtering problem introduced in earlier patch kits.

    - Fix a FIN processing error that can delay closing connections.

    - This kit corrects a problem with filtering of existing TCP connections
      when the ESTablished bit is not set. The patch will not filter packets
      for existing connections when the ESTablished flag is not set. Packets
      for new connections are filtered in either case. This allows existing
      connections to terminate normally and return resources in use.
