    This kit updates MultiNet V5.3Rev A with a new version of
    MULTINET_SOCKET_LIBRARY.EXE for MultiNet for OpenVMS.

    Included in this kit are fixes for the following :

    - Change how getdtablesize computes the value to return by including
      system channel count and process file max to determine the limit.
      Select has also been changed to use system channel count and process
      file max when it makes sure that the width parameter is reasonable.

    Previous ECOs included the following:

    - Correct problem with resolver waiting 2 minutes before retrying sends to

    - Additional checking in routines that read MultiNet kernel memory to
      prevent possible crashes. Add code to ia64 to check through the loader
      image descriptors.
